School is looking to appoint a rowing coach to provide a mix of on-water
coaching and land training to school pupils.
post holder will be required to work from 1.15 pm - 5.15 pm or 6 pm (depending
on whether the last session is on the river or on land) and approximately 6
hours on Saturdays during term time. The
post holder will need to be flexible to meet the slightly varied requirements
from term to term, and to attend races as appropriate. During holidays the post holder will be
required to work and average of five 5-hour days in each holiday period
(including half term). Attendance at training
camps will also be required up to a maximum of one week aboard and five days in
the UK each year.
of coaching juniors or young adults is essential, ideally on a fast moving
river such as the Thames Tideway. A
rowing coaching qualification is essential as is a current licence to drive a
minibus and tow a trailer (along with relevant experience).
successful candidate will be paid a starting salary of £19,000 pa.
work will be located both at the main school building, a lovely 12 acre site at
the top of Wandsworth Common in Battersea, London, SW11, and at our boathouse
on the Thames, just near Barnes Bridge in West London.
